Hi all,

I'm back for a couple of days and just wanted to drop a quick, easy, declutter tip your way. For all those great holiday cards we receive this season here is a way to display them without taking up a whole counter or tabletop. Simply string fun x-mas lights from different ends of the room and attach cards to the string in between lights. There are a ton of fun colored clips out there to attach them with.. what ever toots your horn! Have fun and enjoy the christmas season... clutter free!

i finally escaped... i've been held hostage by an angry mob of poorly dressed african monkey killers!

all right, not really, but it was kind of a crazy and adventurous ride for a minute.... anyway, i have jumped off the boat for awhile with this blogger stuff, no excuse, just got busy. however, i'm back for @ least today... here's what i've got for you folks (such a funny word, say it once), my lastest and greatest adventures...

#1. my main squeeze hit the big 40 this weekend. rented a boat with as many of his homies as we could fit aboard... great friends, funny stories, uoodles of laughs!

all right... i know you were all on the edge of your seats just waiting to see what new and exciting venture i was brewing up( yeah.... riiight) anyway, here goes.....

Yesterday we actually had a really fun, productive and interesting day @ Stone's Throw Winery in Egg Harbor, WI. We were there with INSIGHT magazine shooting stills and doing video. Such a "kool" place in itself, not to mention the exceptional wine and amazing staff! Defiantly worth your time to check it out.

On that same note..... here are some quick $$$$ saving tips to help extend your wardrobe with out spending a dime!

1) Break up any suit or jacket dress combo sets. Each piece should have its own life.

2) Mix dressy and casual. Throwing on a piece of special occasion jewelry really glams up basics.

3)Color combos. Play with mixing new colors. Try soft pastels with strong jewel tones.

4)Create new looks. Try mixing ladylike with sexy or menswear inspired with feminine.

5) Reinvent a garment. A dress becomes a top with jeans or a long top becomes a dress w/ tights.

6) Show contrast. Mix flirty with tailored or urban rocker with sugar sweet.

7) Mix seasons. As the weather changes adjust each piece. Blazers become jackets and lightweight clothes get worn with more substantial pieces.

Break free of the "rules"and start creating entirely new ensembles while spending nothing. The only things needed are an open mind, some time and a refreshing beverage of your choice!

the streamers and balloons made me feel so young, as if i was a kid again and this was the big day of my party! my mood immediately fell into a happy, dreamy, little princess mode and it just got better from there! that night we were to attend a fancy schmance fund raiser event however, i just couldn't bring myself to conform to the solid "black" attire i knew i would bathe in a sea of. so the question becomes "how does one show personality while still fitting in?" that is where the accessories come into play.... how can the fun kid in me show without wearing a ballerina tutu and red rubber rain boots.... here you go!~

As for this weeks featured item.... one of my top picks for the season! This is a uni-sex cuff that was hand constructed by one of my most talented friends. Each one he creates is different... pictures, embellishments, hardware, etc. A master of his craft, always resulting in a crazy kool entity. This inspires me on many levels... the first being individuality, be who YOU are! Second being my mood, do i take it down the urban rocker road or throw a unexpected twist into a hippy sweet girly ensemble??? When the whole blogger deal-e-o was introduced to me the idea of sharing something personal really freaked me out. After a little research (and letting go of the fact that I felt I was crossing over to the dark side) I realized it should be something fun, what I enjoy... not a listing of my current medical records or my gross yearly income! Anyway, I am happy to say that I have found the perfect thing... "JEWELS INSPIRATION". It is what stimulates my brain, keeping my life fresh and fun every day.

Many years ago a dear friend, then co-worker, would address me each morning by spinning around in his chair and stating (as loud as possible) "and who are we today?" With that in mind, I found myself wanting to "create" a new look every day ( for fear of letting him down, of course!). I realized how important a daily creative energy is to me and that is why I am adding a permanent twist to my page. Every week I will be featuring a new outfit, accessory or shoe that inspires me. The goal here is to in some way, shape or form get your brain moving. Whether you love it, hate it, or are indifferent, @ least form an opinion... what would you change, add, or ditch.
